pH Calibration Procedure

Pour a small quantity of pH 6.86, pH 4.00, and pH 9.18 solution into clean beakers
For particularly accurate calibration, use two beakers for each buffer solution - one for rinsing the electrode and one for calibration to minimize contamination risks
Switch on the instrument
Immerse the electrode in pH 6.86 buffer solution and gently shake until the reading stabilizes
Press the "CAL" button until the calibration indicator lights up, then press "PH7" until the display shows "6.86". Rinse the electrode with distilled water
Immerse the electrode in pH 4.00 buffer solution and gently shake until the reading stabilizes
Press the "CAL" button until the calibration indicator lights up, then press "PH4" until the display shows "4.00". Rinse the electrode with distilled water
Immerse the electrode in pH 9.18 buffer solution and wait for the reading to stabilize until the display shows exactly 9.18
The calibration of the instrument's pH range is now complete
