Overview :
The DO-66 Portable Dissolved Oxygen Analyser (hereinafter referred to as the instrument) is designed to be
portable to the user for on-site operation. The instrument can be divided into two parts: the sensor and the
electronic unit. The sensor uses a thin-film dissolved oxygen electrode. The electronic unit is an integrated
op-amp + microcomputer chip with automatic temperature compensation.
·The instrument is compact and lightweight.
·The self-contained carrying case makes it easy to carry and store instruments. The suitcase is made of PP
plastic, which is tough, impact resistant and durable.
Power durability
·Two AAA batteries (2*1.5V) provide a longer-lasting power and up to approx. 600 hours of continuous use.
·The instrument is more user-friendly with a low voltage alert. An alert appears on the screen when the
battery is about to run out to remind the user to pay attention to the power level and replace the battery in
3time.
Waterproof
·The entire body is waterproof except for the battery compartment, which better protects the internal
circuitry.
Automatic calibration
·A two-point automatic calibration button for "0%" and "100%" makes calibration easy.
automatic temperature compensation (ATC )
·Automatically recognises and converts the values corresponding to the difference between the actual
solution temperature and the standard temperature, ensuring more accurate measurement results.
3.2 Calibration
*The instrument is calibrated using a two-point calibration method: one with "0%" oxygen-free water and
one with "100%" saturated dissolved oxygen water.
Supplies: one cup of oxygen-free water, one cup of saturated dissolved oxygen water, magnetic stirrer
(See 3.1.2 for preparation of oxygen-free water and saturated dissolved oxygen water; a magnetic mixer is
preferable, otherwise manual mixing is used.)
1."0%"calibration (zero calibration for oxygen-free water)
1)Clean the electrode in deionised or distilled water and wipe the water from the electrode.
2)Press“ ”to switch on the machine. Place the anaerobic water on a magnetic mixer (or agitate it
manually) and gently agitate the solution continuously, immersing the electrode in the zero-oxygen solution
for at least 3 minutes until the displayed value is stable.
3)Press and hold the " " button for 5 seconds and the word ""CAL"" will appear on the screen, entering
the calibration mode. Continue to gently shake the electrode, and when the displayed value is stable, press
the " " button, the DO value will be displayed at 0% and the word "CAL" will disappear, completing
the zero calibration.
2."100%"calibration. (Percentage correction of saturated dissolved oxygen water)
9
1) After completing the "0%" point calibration, clean the electrode in deionised or distilled water and dry
the electrode.
2) Place the dissolved oxygen water on the magnetic stirrer and stir continuously.
3) Press and hold the " " button for 5 seconds, the word ""CAL"" will appear on the screen and you
are in calibration mode. Immerse the electrode in dissolved oxygen water and continue to shake the
electrode gently (keeping the water continuously stirring), when the displayed value is stable, press the
" " button
